What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is working closely with our client, a Manufacturing company seeking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor in Co. Offaly. As the Maintenance Supervisor you will lead and coordinate the maintenance team to deliver results for the organisation. You will provide technical expertise to ensure maximum efficiency and performance from engineering assets. This is a permanent position with excellent opportunity for career progression within the organisation. Key duties & responsibilities: Ensure that safe working practices and quality procedures are strictly followed at all times. Coordinate maintenance shift activities to ensure efficiency and planned work is completed. Manage contractors on site in line with company guidelines. Build strong relationships with production team leaders and ensure all operational objectives are achieved. Identify skills gaps within the maintenance team and action training plans. Controls engineering budgets and speeding. Provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from production. Manage contractors as required. Assist in training as required. Adhere to and Health and Safety protocols. Problem solving and troubleshooting within the production area in relation to equipment and processes. Ensure compliance to documented processes and produce reports. Lead and support team based improvement projects. What are we looking for? Degree or trade qualified within an engineering discipline. 3-4 years’ experience in a maintenance lead role, preferably within the manufacturing environment. People management experience and experience managing contractors and knowledge of associate legislation would be an advantage. Working knowledge of PLC / SCADA systems would be an advantage. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical and problem-solving skills.
