We have an opportunity for a principal engineer with software experience including allen bradley, robotics & scada database. you will report to the engineering manager with a responsibility for support and ongoing development of automated production lines. major roles & responsibilities : essential experience required with plc programmers, motion control sensors, in-line vision systems (cognex in particular), barcode systems, network topology, pc application software, systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills. programming of allen-bradley controllogix5000 and plc5, siemens s7 controlnet/devicenet, visual basic applications, motion control programming (servos, ab, emerson, lenze), barcode systems (sick, dvt. experience of fda regulations, 21cfr part 11, electronic records, electronic signatures and part 820, quality system regulation. equipment and software validation, iq, oq and pq. provide innovative inputs to new production lines in the areas of control, data collection, motive power, robotics and communications. design, develop and implement process improvements on new and existing lines. maintain & improve safety of operation, quality, capacity and reduce cost of manufacture. will abide to environmental, health and safety (ehs) policies and any relevant other ehs documentation. will comply with all relevant training required and adhere to relevant associated documentation. follow strict adherence to the requirements of cgmp. actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility. requirements: education: degree in electronic/electrical eng or electrical communications or similar. experience : 5-7 years or more experience in scada, allen bradley {control logix & plc 5}, siemens or similar plc programming and control. skills: experience of high volume manufacturing process acquired over 2-3 years. ability to work as part of a factory critical team to resolve floor issues quickly. experience of equipment and software validation. experience of machine vision technology, pattern recognition. highly desirable skills include, experience with programming of allen-bradley controllogix5000 and plc5, controlnet/devicenet, visual basic applications, motion control programming (sercos, ab, emerson, lenze), barcode systems (welchallyn, microscan. for a confidential discussion on this role please forward your cv to gillian nicholson at gillian.nicholson@collinsmcnicholas.ie or call gillian on 0906450665. this job originally appeared on recruitireland.com.
