Maintenance Manager. Midlands. Role Overview: Your position will involve maintaining all plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility including carrying out preventative maintenance on all machinery and facility assets, by adopting a Total Productive Maintenance model. Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, schedule and deliver on preventative maintenance plan to minimise downtime, increase efficiency and comply with auditory standards. • Ensure work and equipment compliance, certification to all regulatory & statutory directives, standards and guidelines, including Health & Safety. • Responsible for ensuring that the building and facility services e.g. chillers, air handling units, compressors, heating, electrical & water services etc. are maintained to meet business needs. • To ensure that all necessary regulatory service, permits, permissions, registers & calibrations certifications are controlled & up to date. • Ensure suitable maintenance support is provided to all areas of the business and be solution focused on issues that arise. • Support the activities of the EHS teams, leading by example and serving as a role model ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are adopted with the facilities and maintenance team. • Setup service contracts for machinery & facility contractors. Co-ordinate with contractors to perform service activities and repairs on plant and equipment minimising disruption to production. • Inspect and evaluate physical plant and related equipment to manage asset life cycle in support of operations. Prepare budgets for asset replacement or asset expansion. • Manage the maintenance team, scheduling and prioritising daily workloads. Identify training and development needs within the department. • Oversee and direct provision of all related maintenance supplies and control costs and stocks of same. • Drive continuous improvement within the Maintenance department. • Develop and maintain records. Requirements for role: • Third level engineering qualification or Electrical / Mechanical Trade qualification. • Experience in the overseeing of maintenance of detailed mechanical and electrical manufacturing and building services equipment, including high volume manufacturing equipment, preferably injection moulding equipment . • AutoCAD knowledge and experience desirable. • Must have a proven track record in leading teams. • Experienced in the application and operation of Permit to Work systems. • Must be highly computer literate, and ideally experienced in the use of computerised maintenance management systems. • Previous experience working in automotive and/or cleanroom environments desirable. • Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to project manage and multi-task.
