What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is working with a US Medical Device Company in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant/Payroller . This is a 12 month contract and the job will be based in Co. Westmeath. The Assistant Accountant/Payroller will report into a Financial Controller. You will work as part of a team and you will be responsible for reviewing accounts payable, payroll, revenue returns and month-end duties and various accounting support. Salary : €40k - €45k. Main Roles & Responsibilities: Prepare and submit bi-monthly Revenue Bill of Discharge returns. Provide weekly Finance metrics for team. Conduct variance analysis versus forecast – route cause and solution with team. Responsible for consolidating the bi-weekly payroll reports and submit to 3rd Party payroll provider process payroll journals and provide analytics. Ensuring correct deductions, BIK, pensions. Responsible for monthly & annual revenue returns incl. Internal & External Audit payroll requests. Responsible for completing payroll related CSO requests. Provide support to AP department and inputting of invoices. Processing employee credit card expense claims on a timely basis. Monthly credit card reconciliation and credit card expense accruals. Provide support during the month end as required. Dealing with queries from staff at all levels and engage in Finance projects as required. General day to day admin duties in line with business requirements. Key Requirements: Recently or nearly Qualified Accountant , ACCA/ACA/CIMA with 3 years experience in a similar background within a multi-national manufacturing company. Must have experience running a payroll. Excellent Excel skills in the area of manipulating data, reconciling data and presentation of information. Experience in Oracle Mfg modules will be an advantage. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with strong people skills and proven leadership skills in getting projects delivered on time and on target. Capable of working on own initiative, and meeting tight deadlines.
