Description

The successful candidate will be leading up a new function within the company. The function will be responsible developing and maintaining strong IT and technical relationships with our participating retailers across Europe to help ensure that retailers: - Deliver their data files on an agreed weekly delivery schedule. - Where appropriate, change the timing of the delivery of data files to best align with production schedule. - Deliver files that conform with the necessary data feed structure and content. - Provide advance notice of any changes to their data feeds so that changes can be included. - Deliver data files that are free from errors. - Work to urgently resolve any queries about the data that may arise during the production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Building and leading the Retail Engagement team that will work with Retailer partners across 7 countries in Europe to implement and manage these relationships to achieve the objectives outlined above. (It is anticipated that the team will grow to approx. 4 or 5 members over 12 months. - Working with Global Operations departments to align data receipt processes in Europe with global processes and, where relevant, determining how processes need to be adapted to fit with the specific circumstances of the business in Europe. - Collaborating with Retail Business Group to contribute to an overall positive relationship with Retailers. - Working with senior decision makers at retailers (likely to be VP level contacts) to ensure that we have the necessary support and connections within the retailer organization to achieve the objectives outlined above. Working with IT and technical teams at retailers to: Provide education and training programs for technical and IT departments at retailers to develop and maintain awareness of technical and timing needs of the data feeds received. Conduct annual reviews of retailers’ performance against technical, timing and quality metrics. Secure additional data sources to facilitate the production process (e.g. buy lists, new products. Maintain proactive communication with retailers to gain upfront visibility on changes to data feeds. Lead on-boarding sessions with relevant retailer team members. Lead diagnosis with retailers to evaluate and resolve data issues that arise during production. Conduct data reviews during the production process. Conduct retailer education refreshers as necessary. Where possible develop relationships with retailers that would enable us to ‘Pull’ data into company production process. Qualifications and Experience. - Bachelor’s degree preferable in Computer Science, advanced degree preferred. - 7+ years of experience with data analysis, ideally data feed management and client services. - 3 years of direct or indirect retail Industry business operations experience. - Knowledge and experience in managing retailer data, file conversion, etc. - Experience in leading a small team performing data integrations with both new and existing customers. - Specific experience in B2B system integrations. - Experience with EDI (ANSI X12 and EDIFACT); 852, SLSRPT and INVRPT preferred. - Capacity to work with a high-volume of data and develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. - Ability to make clear decisions where required, but also co-exist within a team environment and understand role within the broader data production process. - Able to work fluently in English in technical and business discussions (Both written and verbal.
